I found that there are many different layouts of a double-page spread. Before researching it, I was unaware of these layouts. I figured that a double-page spread was an article that filled up both pages, with an odd image here and there, like this one...
Having done my research I found out that there is not a set layout for a double-page spread. The image above shows the typical layout of one, but after researching various different ones I found that it can also be set out with the writing almost half way down the page going right across both pages, and an image spread right across the top, like this one...
Another possible layout, is one side of the double-page spread filled with the information or article etc. and the other with a big image, almost like a poster. Here is an example...
After researching the layouts of these double page spread I now know that I have many options.
